19 February

Hi all,

Today we allocated the jobs given to the groups. Moreover, we searched for more CIP in which our cca can take in a bid to boost cca points. As for the group work, some were reluctant to do or just do a sloppy job, especially the sec 1s. Cca is quite chaotic today as they did not follow instructions. I hope they will come to understand that the presentation is for serious stuff.

Thanks,
MAthew

Reflection for 29 1

Hi all,

Today we did the presentation. I would say everyone is super interactive for the presentation today. Suggestions, add ons and constructive comments were all in today's cca.

As for the feedback, i think it would be better if we have such activites more often given the good response. I think everyone is setting a good example, modelling the way, for our juniors. Such action is worth commendable.

Thanks,
Mathew

feedback for 22/1/10

Dear Miss Lappen,

From what i observed, what our cca does in the computer lab is that they do indeed do their work, but surf the net for their own use simultaneously. As a result, i feel that work quality will be affected. Moreover, some do not follow instructions given due to absence of higher authority.

Regards,
Mathew

My thoughts about the learning journey to te Peranakan Museum 040909

Hi all,

About the peranakan museum... i think its not bad, what do i mean by that? The museum has quite a lot of exhibits and is somehow attractive? However, the time factor is rather short, i also feel that handouts shouldn't be given to be completed, reason because they just focus on completing the handout instead of really viewing the exhibits. I think that a more appropriate way will be that after the journey, we can have a short quiz to test them. I proposed Kong Hiap Memorial Museum & Malay Heritage Centre, these 2 museum are the only 2 culture museum that we have in Singapore and yet not visited.

CCA reflection 28/8/09

Greetings,

Today I had a 'short' time at cca.
Events clashed- cca, teacher's day rehersal and art club presentation.
Shirley's ppt didn't mangaed to work for its a version 2007 and the school's can only manage 2003's. Hence, a lot of time is wasted in 'repairing' the ppt. However, in the end, it still failed and we just shared the pictures we shot during the course instead of the orginally planned reflections in the ppt. All excpet me forgot what they wrote in theire reflections and thus the latter couldn't proceed. After that, we left for the teacher's day rehersal. In fact, they only requires us to choose our location and arrange the tables for our station. that's all. Following that, ZhiXuan and I went to help the councillors since they requires help. Good Job and initiative shown Zhi Xuan!

CCA reflection for 21 of august

Hi everyone,

As for today's cca, shirley and i went to a leadership course that simply wasted our time. Little did we know that the rest of our cca can't find our teachers to open the computer lab for research. But after our event they did. Good job. Today we shouldn't even have the research activity, no one is doing anything except for the one responsible to compile everything together as one ppt. The rest simply passed their time in the net. They don't care when we told them to contribute to their group. After cca, we had the commitee meeting again. The commitee shows their attitude, except Viola. We're asking them if they want to appeal against the standardize, mainly for their own good, and they think that we're wasting their time? What a joke is that.
